Our story

RJ Garcia is a Public Speaker, Interventionist, Therapist ~ Hispanic Market Consultant in private practice in the Austin, Texas area. A native of central Texas, RJ has over twenty years of serving the recovery community. RJ earned a Master of Arts in Addiction Counseling from the world-renowned Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies at the Center City, Minnesota alcohol and drug addiction treatment center. RJ received a unique curriculum that integrates theory, science and clinical practice. 

Twenty-five years of successful leadership and workforce development in start-up and corporate expansion environments. Consistently strives to achieve top performance in every position to bring revenues and profits to new heights. Strong account management skills, practiced in transforming vendor/customer relations to that of a valued business partner. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain effective customer/partner relationships.

RJ was founding Chair of the Austin Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) Initiative currently president and board member of the International Society of Mental Health On-line (ISMHO).

RJ is an active member of the American Counseling Association and NAADC, the Association for Addiction Professionals.
